Have a Merry Two Be Wed Christmas

'Tis the season for holiday parties and we have just the party for you! A very merry Two Be Wed Christmas party! Last week we hosted our first annual Two Be Wed Christmas party as a chance to celebrate the holiday season and spread Christmas cheer with our favorite clients, vendors, family and friends! What a delightful evening it was! The ladies of Two Be Wed served their favorite desserts paired with a hot cocoa bar and some naughty Sangria. And it's not a party without cheesy Christmas games and ornament decorating! We sent our guests home with their own handmade ornaments signed by yours truly! With a little help from our friends from Recollection Vintage Rentals, the studio was transformed into a cozy, intimate gathering for our guests with their collection of vintage Christmas decor. Our favorite is the pink glittered reindeer! We hope our guests had as much fun as we did and if you couldn't make it, there's always next year!

The TBW Experience: Sadia Cooper

One of the best parts about our job is not only do we get to make wedding dreams come true, but we get the opportunity to meet so many wonderful women in the process! Our former client, Sadia Cooper, had a beautiful and modern Indian Fusion wedding that took months to perfect but in the end, we had a happy client and a new friend! See what she had to say about her Two Be Wed experience!

"Words cannot even begin to describe how AMAZING Natalie and Ashley with Two Be Wed were during my entire wedding process. My goal was to have a glamorous South Asian fusion wedding with all the important pieces of an American wedding as well as a Bengali wedding all rolled into one unforgettable night – they definitely helped me achieve that! During the planning stages, Natalie and Ashley were there to keep me going towards my vision and always had the best advice anytime I needed it. They were prompt to respond to me, helped me deal with any vendor issues I had, and very professional. On the actual wedding day, I do not know what we would have done without Natalie and Ashley. Everything fell into place so perfectly and it was because of them! They kept the flow of the night going and improvised perfectly when needed. My family was so impressed and we will be using them for the remaining weddings we have in our family. I believe having a wedding planner / coordinator is the best decision any bride can make and I would highly recommend Two Be Wed – you will be so grateful you did!! My wedding event was everything I had ever imagined plus more and I really owe a lot of it to Natalie and Ashley – thank you so much ladies!!"

How to "Cool Down" Summer Weddings

Fall is around the corner, but the Texas heat doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. If you booked a late August/September wedding hoping to avoid the heat -no worries!! We have the tips to help you beat the heat and keep your guests cool, not clammy.

Via The Knot
Monogrammed Water Bottles are a multifunctional favor that works for every need. It can keep your guests hydrated, allow you to incorporate your stationary and can be personalized with your intials & date. We suggest storing bottles in tin bins, to keep them cool and add a rustic flair, and place somewhere accessible to guests as they arrive. Water bottles are affordable and can be a great DIY project for your bridal party!!

Via the Bridal Blog
Fan Programs are another multifunctional tool that can serve as your wedding program, as well as cool your guests as they await your grand entrance. Most wedding programs end up on the floor, but the fan feature gives guests another reason to hang on to the program. The pictured fan program added another entertainment feature: word games on the back to keep guests (especially children) entertained before the ceremony. We suggest placing the programs on guests seats beforehand or assigning a house party to hand out to guests as they arrive. Another great DIY project!

Umbrellas/Parasols are fun and functional! Shade your guests from the unforgiving sun and make a statement with your wedding colors & style. If you want to go bold, have your bridesmaids walk down with parasols rather than floral bouquets. They can also be reused after the ceremony for photos and additional decor. You can mix colors & patterns, but make sure to keep it cohesive!

We suggest placing umbrellas/parasols in a basket and
popping some nearby so guests get the idea as they are seated.

Canopies are big, bold and beautiful for outdoor summer weddings! Canopies shade and protect guests from the sun, and give an outdoor reception a grand venue feel. Perfect for private estate weddings. We recommend Jacqueline Chapelle Tents & Decor for Houston Wedding Tents.

Via Viva L'Event
Gelato Bar makes a great summer dessert! Cool, sweet and tasty! You can serve as a pre-reception treat during a cocktail hour or as dessert with the wedding cake!

Don't let the heat ruin your big day, where there's a will -there's a way!!
Enjoy!

"I walk into the ultra chic Two Be Wed boutique to sit and chat with owner, the lovely Natalie Dawley who is also a partner in Recollection Vintage Rentals. I immediately feel at home in this cozy space and feel although something is missing without colorful macaroons or petit fors in hand. We begin discussing decor and get on to the subject of weddings. We talk everything from wedding trends to budget friendly tips for brides to be."

Say "I Do" to Wedding Based Groupon

One of Two Be Wed's main objectives is to deliver a brides dream wedding without breaking the bank. We always tell our clients don't go in debt for your wedding. The last thing a bride wants is to look back on her wedding over a credit card bill. So were always on the look out for the best ways to save our clients money. Our latest obsession is the new wedding based groupon, I Do Daily Deal.

Saving money via sites such as Groupon or Living Social is a growing trend nationwide and is now taking storm to the wedding industry here in Houston with I Do Daily Deal. The wedding based groupon is the same concept but made specifically for Houston brides featuring unbelievable deals from local known and unknown vendors. Their featured deals offer 50% to 90% savings on stationary, catering, hair & makeup, photography, cinematography, wedding planning...you name it, they feature it! And because weddings involve so many different elements as well as difficult decisions, the website gives you not one but three days to consider the deal, research the vendor, and weigh your options before purchasing. If that's not enough, yours truly is one of the featured vendors and we offer a killer deal that you don't want to miss out on!

Keep in mind these daily deals aren't just limited to brides, share I Do Daily Deals with friends to use for parties and special events! Sign up now to start receiving your daily deals!

Indian Fusion Wedding

In the last few years, we've expanded our firm to include Two Be Red, a branch dedicated to South Asian Brides. South Asian weddings are unlike any American wedding you've ever been to! They can last up to a week long and include the most beautiful traditions. So imagine a wedding that has the elegant, modern style of an American wedding and the unique, beautiful traditions of an Indian wedding, and wahla! You have an Indian Fusion wedding! This past weekend, we had the pleasure of coordinating an Indian Fusion wedding that had a balanced mix of modern decor and Indian culture to create a fairytale wedding for any bride! (Forgive the picture quality, these are taken from our phones but professional photos will be up soon!)

Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Keith Turner!

What is a Day-of Coordinator?

We are back!! Big things have been happening here at Two Be Wed and we have recommitted ourselves to bringing the latest trends, vendors and advice to our blogging community, and fans!

One service we are highlighting this week is the role of the day-of coordinator. Many brides opt out of having a full-time wedding coordinator because they don't fully understand what a coordinator entails. So you ask, what does a day-of coordinator do??

At Two Be Wed, we believe that a day-of coordinator protects the investment of your time, money and more importantly, your peace of mind on your wedding day. We serve as the point of contact for vendors and your bridal party. We prompt the couple and attendants on where to be and when. We manage the styling of decor and the timing of the ceremony and reception. We are responsible for making sure the photographer doesn't miss any monumental moments or be there to repair a snag minutes away from your walk down the aisle.

The reality is the world doesn't stop when you're getting married and life happens. You don't want to be the one when life happens on YOUR day. But in case life does happen, a day-of coordinator gives you the peace of mind that your investment is protected on your day, all day.

For more information on Two Be Wed's day-of services, please contact houston@twobewed.net and reference this blog post!
