"Treasure Your Love" Styled Shoot

Round Top, TX has always been a place near and dear to our hearts because of the many antique festivals and vintage treasures it has to offer. Every trip we've made has been devoted to finding those unique pieces, whether furniture or trinkets, that tell a story of it's own. As a tribute to the old Texas town and all things vintage, we created a wedding style that celebrates life's little treasures, and the greatest treasure of all is LOVE.

You can also find our "Treasure Your Love" styled shoot on Style Me Pretty today!

We collaborated with pH Designs to create the invitation suite. We wanted to incorporate the "Texas Elegance" while being true to our vintage treasure theme.

The backdrop for our pre-ceremony shoot was at The Vintage Round Top, a country home filled with antiques and Texas charm just minutes from the town center.

The groom pulls off that Billy Reid tux quite well. Subtle blue undershirt and a navy tux.

Tamara Menges Designs did wonders with the floral. The pops of blue were refreshing amongst the neutral bridesmaid dresses from BHLDN.

Our bride wore this dress from Mia Bridal Couture beautifully.

Thalio Beckham Makeup Artistry highlighted our model's natural beauty for a soft, down to earth bridal makeup and hair.

The bridal bouquet Tamara Menges Designs created is the epitome of vintage romance. The vintage brooch was the little bit of treasure.

Our concept was inspired by vintage treasures - from the place cards to the vessels, favors and china, every little detail was a found object to be treasured. The setting for the shoot couldn't have been more ideal. A country home called The Vintage Round Top and interior designer Rachel Ashwell's shabby chic ranch and B&B called The Prairie, offered the perfect scene for our "Texas Elegance" wedding.

The post card favors by pH Designs were maps of the venue, The Prairie but we'd like to think of them as treasure maps.

Fanned Programs are a must for a Texas Hill Country wedding. Designed by pH Designs.

Paper Floral Artistry by Balushka can dress up any ceremony, indoor or out. It was the perfect touch for this wooden archway.

The Prairie barn is nestled among fields and tress, and a lake that draws cattle to drink. It provides the perfect setting for a casual but intimate wedding.

We love how Tamara played with textures and colors in the floral palette. It makes the arrangements more interesting and impactful without being too bold.

The place cards were tied to cuff links, perfume bottles, old watches, old keys - the types of treasures you can find in Round Top.

If anyone has an expert eye for vintage, it's the ladies from Recollection Vintage Rentals. They are frequent Round Top visitors and have the inventory to prove it! Many of the vintage pieces featured are their rentals and they did an amazing job styling every last detail.

We did encounter some grey skies while shooting, but once the skies cleared and we were able to take pictures outside, it was heavenly. This shoot is definitely one of our finest treasures and our favorite part was the opportunity to collaborate with such a creative team of individuals. It was such a unique experience and one we will treasure forever!

Treasures were sprinkled all over the venue from the place cards to decor, but the greatest treasure was the love shared.

Just a sample of the types of treasures that await you in Round Top.

Individual Strawberry Mousse Desserts and Mini Champagne in honor of the Bride and Groom.

The Bake Shoppe and Cafe in Cypress, TX provided the one-of-a-kind cake.

Farewell for now Round Top but until next time!

If these photos by Christa Elyce Photography weren't amazing enough, check out the video montage of the styled shoot by her husband, Brandon Neal. Even Rachel Ashwell liked it!

An Afternoon at Carlton Woods

As wedding and event planners, it is not often that we are invited to an event that doesn't require our services for organizing or styling said event. So you can imagine how exciting it was to receive an invitation to spend an afternoon at The Club at Carlton Woods for a luncheon and tour with our fellow Houston wedding and event planners - no planning necessary, just relaxation!

Of course behind every exceptional event, there is an exceptional planner, and Nicole Macaluso from Event Solutions outdid herself on this one! Upon our arrival we were greeted with champagne and mimosas, followed by a trolley ride by Jordan Limousines and an exclusive tour of the expansive country club. Kameron, the on-site event coordinator for Carlton Woods, was our tour guide for the afternoon and completely refreshed our perspective on the facility and grounds. The serene country club in the heart of The Woodlands was already one of our favorites, but their new and improved packages and services has made them a highly competitive, well-rounded venue option for weddings and special events.

The weather was perfect, the staff was professional, the food was divine - it was an all around delightful afternoon and we really appreciate Carlton Woods & Event Solutions for inviting us! Enjoy a photo recap by the talented Joseph West!

Bon Fleur: A Floral Seminar

Happy hump day and hello October! We are entering into our busy season of the year, and we couldn't be more excited for the upcoming projects and events we have on the calendar this fall. Our first event of the season is tomorrow at The Gardens of Bammel Lane Fall Open House. We hope you enjoyed our inspiration board from last week and are anxious to see our ideas brought to life tomorrow evening! If you haven't yet, RSVP at aoase@bammel.com. We hope to see you there!

Before September slips away from us, we'd like to reflect back to a special event we attended last month, the Bon Fleur Floral Seminar by Carol Cox of Something Special in Flowers. The event was geared towards brides and floral enthusiasts who wanted to learn more about how to pick the perfect blooms for your event, style, season and budget. It was very informative and Carol did an exceptional job sharing her knowledge and with the arrangements she prepared. We learned how to hydrate certain blooms properly, what certain floral names represented, and many more tips and tricks. Recollection Vintage Rentals was kind enough to host at their studio, providing the perfect eclectic atmosphere and Sarah McKenzie Photography captured the event beautifully! Enjoy!

Recollection's charming vintage bike out front to greet guests. We love how they recreated the invitation.

Beautiful, colorful blooms in Recollection's white milk glass vessel.

Tip: Peonies actually are pretty strong flowers and hold up in the summer despite how delicate they look

Carol explaining the "earthy/organic" style - our favorite arrangement of the night. It had the most unusual flowers and foliage including scabious pods and a succulent, in a pottery style crackled pot.
