C O L O R Theory

Over the next two months we are going to blog about color. Color in a wedding affects the decor/floral, attire, invitations, culinary, and most importantly the feeling your guests will experience as they attend your event.

The first color we are going to profile is GREEN. Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being. Green is the color of balance. It also means learning, growth and harmony.

We have taken five greens: pear, grass, olive, chartreuse and sage, and grouped them together with today's hottest colors. Enjoy!

TBW Houston's Night on the Town

Just wanted to take a break from our normal blogging topics to show all of you planning brides and grooms that your wedding professionals take time to have fun. TBW Houston spent a night on the town at the bowling alley and had a blast; here are the pics to prove it!

Check back to see the TBW Phoenix crew having a blast during their 3rd Annual Summer Getaway.
THANK YOU E. Sullivan Photography for the great images!!

Will you be my bridesmaid?

The age old question: Will you be my bridesmaid? We think you should make this moment an occasion, by asking in a clever way. Here are our top five:

Purchase "The Maidens" t-shirts from The Boutique in Houston, wrap them up, and send them to your favorite gals....they'll get the idea! These tees never go out of style...once a maiden always a maiden!

Everyone loves a frosted sugar cookie once in awhile, so why not order these great custom delights. It will not only be a great treat, but it is a great way to ask the question. Yummy!

Treat the most important ladies in your life to a group pedicure...while relaxed and enjoying each other's company, express to them that only your bridesmaids deserve the utmost treatment! They'll flip out right then and there! If most of your maids are local, invite them for dinner and drinks on you. Take a moment to toast and before toasting, ask them to be your bridesmaids. You can all toast to one big "yes!"Find an old picture of you and your friend...preferably one that could be used for blackmail! Create a greeting card asking your friend to be in your wedding party.

Agave Road : Charming and Rustic Wedding Venue

What do you get when you cross breath-taking landscapes with classic southwestern architecture and maybe a few deer? It could be your wedding reception site. Located in warm and vibrant Katy, Texas, Agave Road is a beautiful and serene event and reception site where you and up to 300 guests can enjoy charming southwest details that will transport you to a simpler decade.

Agave Road offers a variety of amenities such as indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception options, audio and visual availability throughout the venue, a Large outdoor vintage fire place and colorful, tropical landscaping.

The 10,000 square foot facility is surrounded by 30 acres of pecan orchards and oak trees. With these natural surroundings, expect a few furry guests such as deer, antelope, miniature donkeys and rams.

Outside vendors are welcome, with the exception of beverage/bar services. Agave Road can offer their suggestion from their highly preferred caterers to make your planning easier. They also know how important your day is and want to devote all their time and attention to you, so they will only book one event per day. And there are only so many weekends in a year, so it is best to book six to twelve months in advance.
