Happy hump day and hello October! We are entering into our busy season of the year, and we couldn't be more excited for the upcoming projects and events we have on the calendar this fall. Our first event of the season is tomorrow at
The Gardens of Bammel Lane Fall Open House. We hope you enjoyed our
inspiration board from last week and are anxious to see our ideas brought to life tomorrow evening! If you haven't yet, RSVP at
aoase@bammel.com. We hope to see you there!
Before September slips away from us, we'd like to reflect back to a special event we attended last month, the Bon Fleur Floral Seminar by Carol Cox of
Something Special in Flowers. The event was geared towards brides and floral enthusiasts who wanted to learn more about how to pick the perfect blooms for your event, style, season and budget. It was very informative and Carol did an exceptional job sharing her knowledge and with the arrangements she prepared. We learned how to hydrate certain blooms properly, what certain floral names represented, and many more tips and tricks.
Recollection Vintage Rentals was kind enough to host at their studio, providing the perfect eclectic atmosphere and
Sarah McKenzie Photography captured the event beautifully! Enjoy!

Tip: Peonies actually are pretty strong flowers and hold up in the summer despite how delicate they look

Carol explaining the "earthy/organic" style - our favorite arrangement of the night. It had the most unusual flowers and foliage including scabious pods and a succulent, in a pottery style crackled pot. |
